Jamie Purvis is a native of Toronto and has lived in the area all of his life. Jamie with his wife Vicki, have raised their two daughters in Toronto, giving him an acute awareness of the needs and wants of families in the area. He knows the schools, the neighbourhoods, the services and the benefits available and is a valuable information resource both for those new to the area as well to those who are simply changing neighbourhoods.
Jamie attended York University to study Geography and Canadian Studies and following University at the age of 22 made Real Estate his first and only career choice. He has been dedicated to excellence from the beginning of his career, being in the top 100 Homelife Agents in Canada several times. Receiving Homelife’s Gold and Platinum awards, being named “Who’s Who” of Homelife Agents in Canada, being nominated for the Toronto Real Estate Boards Sales Merit award and being both in the top sales and listing categories over the past 19 years at Homelife/Romano Realty Ltd.
Currently, the Home Team, Jamie and Carlo are rated in the top 1% by units of listings sold from January 1st to June 30, 2005.*
Believing in the concept of living a well-balanced life, Jamie enjoys golfing, working out, photography, travel and sitting around a fire while camping with his family and friends. Carlo Sconza
Upon graduating with his Business Degree (B.B.A.) from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 1987, Carlo went to work in Commercial Banking for Lloyds Bank of Canada. It didn’t take him long to figure out that the banking industry was not for him, or more precisely, that working for someone else was not for him. Carlo started his own sporting goods distribution and marketing company, selling Officially Licensed Sports Merchandise of the NHL, NFL, CFL, and MLB.. Three years later as the sports merchandising industry was beginning to restructure, Carlo sold his company and went to work for a New York based Sports Distribution Company, where he managed their Canadian Operations for three years.
It was in 1994 when Carlo obtained his CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation, that he found his calling, Real Estate, launching his full time real estate career in 1995. Even with the real estate industry in a major recession at the time, it proved to be a good training ground, where Carlo was able to develop his goals and set in place the value and service that he offers today.
Carlo’s main reason for getting into real estate was his desire to prove to people that not all real estate agents are the same. Today, eleven years later, Carlo is accomplishing this goal. He has engineered his business into a real estate practice where “The Client Experience” is the central focus, and sharing his passion with his clients he has been able to elevate their real estate experience. For Carlo, real estate is a place that he is able to derive great pleasure in knowing that he is making a difference in the lives of his clients and their communities. His philosophy that a home is where the heart of family and community lives is demonstrated on a daily basis in the aspiration and enthusiasm he shows towards his business.
Carlo has been able to accomplish his task and at the same time enjoy his family life with his wife Lina and 3 children, Alessandra, Marco and Gianluca. Above all, Carlo wants to be remembered as a loving husband and dad.
